Downtown San Antonio will come alive this season with the launch of what will undoubtedly become a time-honored holiday tradition for residents and visitors. Set against the backdrop of one of the city’s most historic and charming promenades, San Antonio Holidays on Houston Street launches in November and runs through January 2. Many blocks of Houston Street and Downtown will glisten with twinkling lights and larger-than-life décor elements, and there will be a bustle with entertainers and themed offerings from restaurants, shops, and partners. More exciting activities will be announced, and guests will feel like they've entered a charming market. The nostalgia of San Antonio holidays will unfold under the soft glow of Houston Street lampposts, recalling memories of Christmas past, and inspiring the making of new holiday memories for all.

Holidays on Houston Cocktail Crawl
In 2024, there will be a Holidays on Houston Cocktail Crawl throughout the month of December. Enjoy signature holiday-themed libations at your favorite bars and restaurants on Houston Street through a self-guided bar crawl -- visit any participating bar and pick up a Cocktail Crawl Map to get started! Holidays on Houston Fun Run: 5k and Family Walk
Description:
The City of San Antonio presents another Holidays on Houston Fun Run! Holidays on Houston brings nostalgic, holiday fun to historic downtown San Antonio throughout the holiday season with festive lights, family-friendly events, a holiday market, a coffee festival, and other activations. The Fun Run will showcase holiday lights on Houston Street and Downtown.
5k Course
The Holidays on Houston Fun Run will start and end at Travis Park with a festive after-party. Along the way, runners and walkers will experience the vibrance of historic Houston Street decorated for the holidays. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers.
Family Walk
This family-friendly option will lead runners and walkers along Houston Street and end at Travis Park. This course is approximately a mile and a half long.
Parking
The City offers free parking during Downtown Tuesdays at all City-operated garages, lots, and meters. Explore available parking on the online interactive map. Park near Travis Park and catch the free shuttle to the starting line at San Pedro Springs Culture Park. City garages closest to Travis Park offering free parking are:
Houston Street Garage, 111 College St
St. Mary’s Garage, 205 E Travis St
City Tower Garage, 117 W Commerce St
Race After Party
The After Party is an opportunity to celebrate the holiday season! Activities will start at 5 p.m. and include live music, food, ice skating, games, giveaways, and more. It will end with a performance by The Spazmatics! The After Party is free and open to the public, and the perfect destination after your run!

A Taste of Holidays on Houston Street: Community Dinner
Join us on Houston Street between Navarro and North St. Mary’s to experience the food and drink of the diverse Houston Street restaurants and bars. This special evening will feature a block-long communal table, inviting residents and visitors to dine and celebrate under the glistening enhanced holiday lighting of historic Houston Street in the heart of downtown San Antonio.
New this year! Come for a unique cocktail experience in the historic Majestic Theatre's Starlight Suites before the Taste of Holidays on Houston Street Dinner. You can come for cocktails, dinner, or both!
